Where It All Began

Growing up, I watched my mother create garments with remarkable precision and care. Every stitch, every fabric, and every detail reflected patience, craftsmanship, and love.

Without realizing it, I was learning that clothing could carry emotion, identity, and confidence. Years later, that quiet inspiration became Minaly — not simply as a fashion label, but as a tribute to the woman who first taught me the beauty of creating something meaningful.

Meet the Founder

AMY SYLLA

Amy Sylla is the Founder and Creative Director of Minaly Atelier, a contemporary womenswear brand celebrating African craftsmanship through timeless design.

Growing up in Côte d’Ivoire, Amy was surrounded by fashion from an early age. Her mother owned a clothing business, and watching women discover pieces that made them feel beautiful and confident sparked her fascination with style and the emotions clothing can inspire.

After moving to Canada to pursue her studies, Amy developed a broader perspective on fashion and identity. Living between two cultures deepened her appreciation for her African heritage and inspired her to create a brand that brings together refined design, cultural expression and exceptional craftsmanship.

That vision became Minaly Atelier.

Today, Amy develops each collection in close collaboration with talented artisans in Côte d’Ivoire.
